At the end of 2024 I retired to:
travel within remote Australia
return to an earlier passion, photography
Fortunately these dovetail nicely
I aim to show the beauty and complexity of life in arid Australia
This artwork, "A great Place Mum" was taken at Imperial Lake (Broken Hill) in 2024. It is triptych piece, showing the grand vista (Macro), the middle view (Meso) and the fine (Micro) view, all three adding up to the vibrancy of arid Australia.
The MMM model is a guiding principle for my work. I am showing my background in that the MMM model comes from my research background and refers to the wellbeing of an individual, now the wellbeing of the land

The region around the lake is rich in life, and the vista's of the lake are awesome
enjoy this diversity
Clearly make a trip to very remote are there are many more images than 5
Sturt National Park, Milparinka, Tibooburra
The Corner Country of NSW, SA and NT: Tibooburra is the major centre. The Sturt National Park is growing as it absorbs more stations. they are doing some amazing work on re-establishing almost extinct animals at the park Burrowing bettongs returned to outback decades after local extinction - ABC News

Warm Qld 2026 Cooktown
Winter of 2026 was spent avoiding the cold in the centre and North of Queensland visiting small towns and national parks.
On the road into/out of Cooktown is the Black Mtn NP. It is an area I need to return to early morning.
Warm Qld 2026 Daintree NP
The Daintree was not in my bucket list. I am really glad I made it. It is one of the oldest continuous forests in the world, and pre-dates the extinction of the Dinosaurs
The cover Photo, is an old big salty photographed with a drone, the locals estimated he was about 90 years old and 6+ metres in length
Aroona Ruin Ikara/Flinders National Park
The Aroona Campground is away from mainly visited areas of Ikara NP
Oraparinna was the station in this area, The old hut was built as an outstation and became the home of Eddies Pumpa.
The outside was covered with Pug and the Inside Lime wash
Warm Qld 2026 Burketown
Burketown is a remote small town near the Gulf. The people are friendly and in winter when I was there the environment was great.
A magnificent find for me was the Burketown bore, which was drilled in 1897.
It is highly mineralised so was not suitable for drinking or stock work.
It is about 68°C at the bore head, and the constant flow and evaporation have created a highly mineralised mound.

Triptych Photos
Triptych (MMM) art is three photos combined to tell a story of remote and outback Australia.
The works are limited to a few copies and are numbered
They are framed in Australian Oak, from sustainable farming. Each frame is hand built, by Robert. the photo of Kati Thanda is an example of a finished MMM photo.
The price of MMM works starts at $800
Single Works
Any photo on the website is available as a single image, even those in the triptych artworks.
The photos on the website are of limited size and finished products are printed from high quality images
Individual Photos, on canvas and stretched over a frame start at $130
Single photo 'frame ready' start at $150
Framed photos start at $250
Framing and Size Options
Triptych photos are all framed and Perspex is used in place of glass: Less fragile, lighter and clearer viewing properties.
Individual photos can come as framed, same as triptych art pieces.
They can be printed on canvas and stretched over a frame
They can be purchased 'ready to be framed' with the photos having a mat and backing board and you source your own framing.
Sizes can be from small to very large. the cost is largely impacted by the size of the print. Sizes vary from 30 X 45 cm to 60 X 90 cm. If interested in getting an artwork discuss with Robert for current pricing and postage.
